Honest Question. What Makes You Happy?

We rarely find time to reflect on ourselves to provide a real answer.

Lets dig deep beyond the generic and find our true response.

Family

Oh that beautiful family. The people who bring us unjudged love.
Those who forgive all wrongdoing.
The "real ones" who push us beyond our limits so we can truly see who we are and what we are capable of doing in life.

Friends

The chosen family we give to ourselves. They are like a daily gift.
Those who bring fun and excitement into our lives.
They encourage us to do more and be more and to live outside of our established lines.

Work

The place that keeps us busy, focused and feeling successful.
Where strong "family like" relationships are built.
Where our ideas come to life and are utilized for the benefit of others.

What about other potential responses?

Give those answers a chance to be heard.

Religion/Higher Power

Faith that keeps us strong and rooted during difficult times or times of doubt. We have all been there.
Grace toward others. An understanding way of living daily life not only towards others but toward self.
Guidance- the blueprint for loving, helping and respecting others including yourself.

Hobbies

Creating something unique that bolsters self-pride and self- esteem.
Ideas formulated in the mind that now exist in the hands.
Displaying the talents we possess. Scary but empowering.

Self/Me

I make myself happy. Just say it.
I am: fun, loving, honest, helpful, giving, kind, resourceful, gentle, firm when needed, can be a pushover.
I make mistakes. I'm not perfect because perfection does not exist. I am real and most of all I try. I try daily. Its time to recognize that inside yourself.

There are many wonderful people out there, just don't forget to include yourself as wonderful too.
